    Try to find a WETT inspector who will give you a free quote for any work he might deem necessary to achieve a compliant installation. The non-compliance of your installation will be visible to an inspector at a glance. I have since obtained another quote based on the same photos and information I provided Fox without a site visit, or paying for another inspection.

    Fox Heating performed an "industry standard" priced WETT review of my existing wood stove installation. It failed, as likely will yours. My request to get a written report was ignored. It would have provided me the details I needed to address deficiencies myself, or to evaluate the fairness of its subsequent bid to provide a compliant installation. Such a report is supposed to be provided according to the sanctioning authority for these inspectors. I did not go further. Fox may be a great contractor, I'll never know.
